enebolig/single family house

faugli/meyer

asker 1999-2001

The house floats above the ground on a minimum of foundations to minimize the built impact on the site's abundant vegetation. Still lilly in the valleys and wild strawberries grow centimeters from the house.

In 2004 the office was awarded the Norwegian Timber Prize - this house was one of three mentioned.

An annex was added to the site in 2014.
