urban glass house
oslo 2014 (unbuilt)
The house is located just on the edge of the regular dense fabric of Oslo, and mediates between old small timber houses and housing blocks from the thirties. Main construction is steel to allow for later modifications. The outer wall will be clad in aerogel glass panels creating a soft luminous atmosphere. Rays of evening sun will be able to penetrate to the interior via a small atrium towards the neighbour's fire wall.
